APPLICATION FORM
The application requires you to provide us with personal and potentially sensitive information. Be assured that the applications are held in strict confidence, the information is treated with the utmost respect and is kept in a secure place.
FILLING OUT THE APPLICATION FORM
You can apply in two ways.
1) Click on 'Volunteer Application', fill it out and submit. A crisis line program staff person will contact you with 3 business days of receiving it.
2) Call the program office at 250-545-8074 to set up an interview. You will fill out the application form prior to the interview.
INTERVIEWS
The interview provides the applicant and the organization with an opportunity to assess mutual compatibility and to gain an understanding of how the applicant’s skills and interests fit with the work of the crisis program. There are four training groups per year. Successful applicants will be included in the next available group.
The primary prerequisites for taking part in the training program are demonstrated listening and empathy skills, personal life stability, and the ability to honour our volunteer commitment.
